Greetings from the Land of Laundry!
I kid, but seriously how do two people create so much laundry in a week? I feel like I've been doing laundry all day long.
Next week, my students will be tackling problem and solution in our reading series. Which I plan to hit pretty hard because this is the first time it's been our focus skill of the week and I know it's ha big focus in third grade.
When I taught third grade, I often liked to have my kiddos put the problem and solution of a story on sentence strips to show that problem/solution also help retell/sequence the story we read. So I modified one of my third grade files into an activity pack for my second grade darlings to use this week.
I typically use sentence strips but all I had was crepe paper at my house! :) I have the kiddos fill out the organizer pieces while reading and then having them cut it out and assemble afterwards.
I've upload the graphic organizer you see above and the following activities/resources to my Teacher's Pay Teachers store for ya'll for Free to say thank you for all your support during the TpT Leap Day Sale! I was blown away by the success my little store had during the sale. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

Oh and one of my best friends, former roommate and college classmate has started a blog! Her name is Lauren and she's a fifth grade math teacher with fantastic ideas! She has some of my former third graders and I'm so glad they are in her class!
Her blog is called Tastes Like Paste, she has a terrific sense of humor too. Stop by her blog and leave her some bloggy love! :)
Off to finish lesson plans and catch up on your blogs. :) Have a great night!
