Wordless Wednesday: Book Club Organization

One of my favorite things about blogging is communicating with other teachers around the world.  I certainly love when other teachers comment on my blog, IG photos, FB page, etc.  I also love leaving them some love too, so I can't wait to hit publish on this post and link up with my dear friend, Christina at Sugar and Spice, for Wordless Wednesday.

We just started book clubs this past week and I've finally found an organizational system that works for me!

The yellow baskets are for my morning class and the green ones for my afternoon class.

So my question to you is this, how do you organize your students' materials for book clubs/book studies?  Tell me in a comment below!

  1. I have those same baskets, but I use them to keep extra student supplies like markers, glue, and rulers. I love the idea of using them for book club materials! I haven't done book clubs very often, but have been wanting to get them started as end-of-year motivation. I will definitely keep this organizational tip in mind!

  3. I have baskets for my homeroom to use for independent and book club books and their music supplies. I have cubbies that one of my former students built for me for my other fourth grade class. My fifth graders that come see me just bring their things with them every day. I love, love, love baskets!!

  4. I love the baskets! I'm such a basket person, I can't believe I haven't thought of that...thanks! I just make a folder with two labels. One says "Novel Study" and the other has the name of the novel we are doing at the time. Example: "Frindle". Then we put a new label on top of that one when it changes. They just bring that folder with them when they come to me. The baskets would work great for having their daily assignments in and would save time passing out papers! Thanks!
