Back to School Sale and TpT Gift Certificate Giveaway

So apparently it's time for some of you to go back to school. Apparently some of you have already gone back to school. That's just crazy talk.

Personally, it looks like Michaels, Target and WalMart threw up in the back of my SantaFe. I'm excited to get my room in order, but I'm also thankful for a few more weeks to finish up my summer to do list.

Since back to school is literally just around the corner for some of us, I'm throwing a Beat the Back to School Blues Sale!

I have gotten a few questions about my lesson plans and how I tackle back to school with my fourth graders and I'll be posting about that soon.

I will say that we spend a lot of time getting organized, learning and practicing procedures, building a classroom community, and having fun together that first week of school. I use my Fabulous Back to School Fun, Cooking Up a Great Year Together and Story of My Name units every single year. They really do set the tone for a great year together!

March Product Giveaway!

Happy March! My goodness, where has the time gone? ;) Before we know it, it will be spring break, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter!

To celebrate, I'm giving away ALL of my March/Spring themed items!

Here's what you can win!
First up, March's fry phrase fluency building game, Pot of Gold! I bought the cutest little leprechaun hat to hold the cards. My students have LOVED playing our fry phrase games this year!

Next up is St. Patrick's Day Roll and Cover! It's amazing what fresh clip art can do for motivation! My students get so excited when I put a new set of games into our math tubs. :) Plus the extra multiplication practice has made a big difference as we work through more difficult math.

Lastly, is my first set of my Spring Themed Graphic Organizers. These are perfect for any book, not just seasonal ones. My big kids love the little bit of seasonal flair these organizers provide. :) My first set features organizers for St. Patrick's Day and Easter. The next set will be all about Earth Day, Flowers, Rainy Days, etc. :)

Awesome February Giveaway with 2nd Grade Stuff

One of my favorite things about blogging is developing friendships with other bloggers! :) It brings such a joy to my heart and I LOVE collaborating with teachers all over the country.

Geometry Freebie and a Giveaway

I know...what a random post title. I guess I just have a lot of random things to share. :)

We started our geometry unit the other day. Even after singing this song from StudyJams over and over again with hand motions, my little darlings couldn't quite tell the difference between lines, rays and line segments visually. They got the definitions but couldn't quite tell which was which when looking at examples of all three. I fell in love with spinner games when I taught second grade, so I started math today with this lines, line segment, rays and points spinner review game.

Talk about a big difference! Math went so much better today! My kiddos loved playing this game and the extra practice really helped them differentiate the difference between lines, rays, line segments and rays. I would suggest using a smaller paperclip since the spinner and game grid are close together. :)

Second Grade Math Giveaway!

Yesterday, I made a pretty big announcement. :)

While I've enjoyed my year in second, I feel my heart/niche really is in the early intermediate grades, and so to celebrate that I'll be teaching fourth-sters next year, I'm having a giveaway!
