Five for Friday and Some Spring Cleaning

So excited to link up with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday! :)

fiveforfriday

1. Two Words: Spring Break
I love my job. I love my students.  However, switching grade levels three times in three years has really worn me out.  I'm SO THANKFUL for the chance to recharge my batteries and to clean my house. :)

2. Elite Eight

I'll admit, I'm a much bigger football fan than basketball but I'm SO PROUD of my Buckeyes run in the tournment this year. :) Bring it on Wichita State!

3. Egg Drop
Our fourth grade egg drop was yesterday and it was a perfect way to send a sunny afternoon before break! I was really proud of my students, we only had five eggs break! My darlings had so much fun watching all the projects fall from the roof of our school.

4. Grad School
I started my masters in reading after my second year of teaching.  Then I got engaged, married changed schools and grade levels, and built a house and well didn't have the time or energy to take anymore!  Since I'll be back in fourth grade next year and will be departmentalized, I feel comfortable taking classes again this summer.  So I haven't taken classes in awhile, I spent some time this past week reactivating my account so I can register.  I'm getting excited about going back to school! :)

5.  Spring Cleaning!

Some of my friends and I are having a spring cleaning sale this weekend! I know that my wishlist has gotten out of control lately, between clip art for future products and items to use with my class to prep for our state's assessments in April.  So, we've decided tput our stores on sale this weekend! Starting tomorrow, everything in my store will be 20% through Sunday night! :)  Click on the cutie pie cheerleader to check out my Teachers Pay Teachers store!

Happy, Happy, Happy Friday!

Easter Roll and Cover and a Freebie

Remember me? So sorry it's been awhile between my posts.  Things have been a little crazy in the Fourth and Ten Household lately.  Our spring break starts tomorrow at 4:00 and am I so excited!

I'm looking forward to the break because I have lots of classroom ideas to share with you and I will also have time to put the finishing touches of the second set of spring graphic organizers and share my spelling contracts throughout the entire year since you liked March's so much! :)

Last night, I finally finished my Easter Roll and Covers.  My darlings, especially the girls were so excited to get them in their hands today! They are suckers for anything with pretty pastels! :)

I hope these aren't too late for y'all but my kiddos don't really mind playing with boards that are just past the prime celebration time for holidays. In fact, we are still rockin' the St. Patrick's Day Roll and Covers. :)  You can check out the Easter ones by clicking on any of the pictures above or {here} in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Tomorrow most of our day will be consumed with our Egg Drop and some PBIS rewards like an extra recess for good behavior.  However, we will be participating in one of my favorite classroom traditions, an egg hunt.

I always buy enough plastic eggs for all the kiddos in my class and put all my classroom numbers on them.  Inside I put a homework pass and a piece of candy.  I hide the eggs around the room and make them find their egg, aka the egg with their classroom number on it.  My kiddos always love it and it's just proof that bigger kids love cute stuff too.

Here's the homework pass I plan on placing inside their eggs.  Just click {here} or on the picture below to access it via Google Drive.
I'm off to go enjoy some Duck Dynasty! Anybody else LOVE that show? Uncle Si and Jase are my favorites! :)

The one with a giveaway winner and a blog meet up

Hello friends! Did anyone catch the Friends reference in my post title? :)

First things first, my giveaway winner! I fully intended to pick and announce a winner of my giveaway when I got home from conferences Thursday night and well then we had a small crisis at my house. My garage door went up when I got home, but wouldn't go back down. My hubs was at class and thank goodness my dad came over and was able to get the door down. We are still waiting for it to be repaired...bummer summer. :( So who won the giveaway? Congratulations, Dawn! Check your email! :)

Like many of you, I have spring fever in the worst way.  I can't wait for spring break to recharge my batteries and prepare for the last few weeks of school with my sweet kiddos. I have to say though, Meeting up with some of my closest blogging friends certainly helped!

Recognize any of these sweet faces? :)

Amanda from One Extra Degree
Michelle from Fabulous in First
Rebecca from Darlin' in First
Christi from  Ms. Fultz's Corner
Jessica from Second Grade Nest
Jodi from Fun in First

I am so incredibly blessed by the friendship of these sweet ladies in my life.  We chatted for five hours about life, teaching, and well pretty much anything.  It was an amazing afternoon and I can hardly wait to see them all again!
I've got some posts mapped out on sequencing and character traits, but tonight I'm off to spend some time with this furry guy.

This is Moss', "What do you mean you have to go to work tomorrow?" face and well I'm a sucker for it! :)

Here's what you can win!
First up, March's fry phrase fluency building game, Pot of Gold! I bought the cutest little leprechaun hat to hold the cards.  My students have LOVED playing our fry phrase games this year!

Next up is St. Patrick's Day Roll and Cover! It's amazing what fresh clip art can do for motivation! My students get so excited when I put a new set of games into our math tubs. :) Plus the extra multiplication practice has made a big difference as we work through more difficult math.

Lastly, is my first set of my Spring Themed Graphic Organizers.  These are perfect for any book, not just seasonal ones.  My big kids love the little bit of seasonal flair these organizers provide. :)  My first set features organizers for St. Patrick's Day and Easter.  The next set will be all about Earth Day, Flowers, Rainy Days, etc. :)
